Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 11th October 2026

Welcome to Improv 301. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply when you create an account, use, or buy access to Improv 301 ("Service"): the Improv 301 website, Improv Studio (studio.improv301.com) and the Improv 301 Android app. The Service is provided by BadGoose Publishing, a self-employed business registered in the UK and the USA ("we", "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal data.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, using the Service or buying access to it, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

The Service lets you plan and run improv classes. You can use it free of charge with limited features, or with a paid subscription or lifetime access purchase that unlocks more. Features, pricing and access rights may change over time. A change will not take away access you have already paid for, except as set out in section 3(b). An account can be signed in on up to two devices at a time.

3. Subscription and Lifetime Access

a. Subscription

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly, yearly, or as otherwise specified at purchase).
  • You authorise us to charge your selected payment method automatically at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your membership account page on the website. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next cycle.

b. Lifetime Access

  • Lifetime access means access for as long as we offer the Service. It does not mean the Service will be available forever.
  • If we decide to stop providing the Service, we will give you at least 90 days' notice by email and in the Service, and a way to export your classes and exercises before it closes.
  • If we stop the Service within 12 months of your lifetime purchase, we will refund what you paid for it.
  • If we replace the Service with a new version, your lifetime access carries over to it.

c. Purchases made through Google Play

  • If you buy through Google Play in the Android app, the payment is taken by Google and is also subject to Google's terms. Google Play handles refunds and cancellations for those purchases, and you should request them through Google Play.
  • Your purchase is linked to your Improv 301 account so you can restore it. It can be linked to one account at a time.

4. Your Right to Cancel and Refunds

a. 14-day right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have the right to cancel a purchase made on our website within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day after you buy. To cancel, tell us clearly that you want to cancel by email at james@improv301.com

. You do not need to use any particular form of words. This applies to both subscriptions and lifetime access. If you cancel in time, we will give you a full refund within 14 days of the day we receive your cancellation, using the same payment method you used to pay, and your access will end.

b. Faulty or not as described

The Service must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If it is not, you have legal rights, including to a repair, a price reduction or a refund. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. Contact us and we will put it right.

c. Other cases

Apart from your legal rights and what these Terms say, payments are not refundable. Where we stop the Service during a subscription period, we will refund the part of the period you have paid for and not received.

5. User Responsibilities

  • You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to attempt unauthorised access, reverse engineering, or distribution of the software.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Do not share your account so that more than two devices use it at once.

6. Your Content and Our Content

  • Your content. You keep ownership of the classes, exercises and other content you create in the Service. You give us permission to store and process it so we can provide the Service to you. We will not use it for anything else.
  • Our content. The exercise library, text, designs and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own teaching and classes. You may not sell, republish or redistribute them.

7. Your Data

We take reasonable care to keep your data secure and we back up the Service regularly, but no system is completely free from loss or error. We recommend that you keep your own copy of anything important. Our responsibility for your data is as set out in section 10 and in our Privacy Policy.

8. Ending Your Account and Termination

  • You can delete your Improv Studio data, or your whole Improv 301 account, at any time in the app or in Improv Studio (Settings, then Delete account). Deleting your whole account cancels your plans first. A lifetime plan cannot be restored once the account is deleted.
  • We may suspend or end your access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, fraud or misuse. Unless it is urgent, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.
  • If we end your access because you broke these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund. If we end it for any other reason, section 3(b) and section 4 apply.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you can cancel and, for a subscription, stop being charged before the new Terms apply. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the new Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your rights as a consumer.
  • Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms.
  • Subject to the first point, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you have paid us for it.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. You keep any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.

12. Contact Information

For any questions or concerns about these Terms, or to cancel a purchase, please contact BadGoose Publishing at james@improv301.com.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
